In 2003, I received an instruction from the LORD to start a breakfast outreach in our neighborhood, inviting a few friends and neighbors living in our area and beyond. The breakfast outreach took place every 2nd Saturday of the month for two hours in the morning. At each of these meetings, we had a great time of worship, sharing the word, and it also became an avenue for reaching out to those who were yet to know the LORD.
At one of these breakfast outreaches, I clearly recall that Minister Nathaniel Bassey was invited to lead a time of worship. During his ministration, the atmo- sphere was so charged and there was an evident presence of God at the meeting. Many were slain in the Spirit as they lay flat on the floor in worship of our LORD. Right there, I heard the LORD speak expressly to me to gather the people one night and just worship Him all through the night. He said there should be no preaching, but it should be a “NIGHT OF WORSHIP.”This instruction birthed the NIGHT OF WORSHIP, and the scripture the LORD gave me is Acts 16:25, “At midnight Paul and Silas sang praises to God.”
This was the beginning of the NIGHT OF WORSHIP in our home – in our living room. We started to hold the meetings once every quarter and God started to move. In a short while, the living room became filled to capacity and could hardly accommodate the worshippers; it spilled to our dining and stairway as the numbers increased. We gathered as a people at midnight, sang praises to our King and He did marvel- ous things in the lives of many. In 2010, the Almighty God spoke again to me and instructed me to take the NIGHT OF WORSHIP to the church (Joshua Ville), as He wanted to take it to another level. We thus started to hold the NIGHT OF WORSHIP at the Incubator and did so until it became clear that we needed a new venue to accommodate the increasing crowd. We moved from using a venue to using open and larger grounds. The LORD has shown Himself as the God of the vision by always making a way regarding a suitable venue. He has sent people our way who have keyed into the vision and supported us in unimaginable ways with their time and resources. What the NIGHT OF WORSHIP has become today is a testament to God’s faithfulness, the ONE who is limit- less in power and unending in resources. In its 10th Edition this year, I am in awe of God and truly humbled that what began as a result of simple obedience has become a source of blessing to us all. In May 2011, we were ‘In His Presence’, with Lara George, Euphoria, and the Sounds of Heaven leading us in an unforgettable time of worship.
We re-convened at Promise Land in Novem- ber 2011 for ‘The Release of His Power’, with Bishop William Murphy III, Muyiwa Olanrewaju, and Lara George.
November 2011In 2012, we celebrated ‘God and God Alone’ with Kurt Carr, Jonathan Nelson, and for the first time then, Dr. Sonnie Badu.
A year later, in 2013, the theme of Night of Worship was ‘Indescribable God’, and we were blessed to have Byron Cage, Sonnie Badu, and other anointed ministers to lead us in worship.
2014 was the year of the ‘Great and Mighty God’; it was an unforgettable time with Tye Tribbett, Tasha Cobbs, Sonnie Badu, Enitan Adaba, Beejay Sax, and others. Numerous testimonies of healing and break- through were recorded
God continued to be kind as we worshipped ‘His Shekinah Glory’ in 2015 with William McDowell, Nathaniel Bassey, Frank Edwards, Beejay Sax, and Moz.
The Splendor of His Majesty’ was the theme for 2016, and we had Travis Greene, Nathaniel Bassey, Sonnie Badu, PITA, Beejay Sax, and many other anointed ministers.
In 2017, it was ‘Revealing His Glory’, and we had Travis Greene, Nathaniel Bassey, Victoria Orenze, Steve Crown, Beejay Sax, Nkiru, and guitarist Segun- funmi lead us deeper into the Holy of Holies.
The tenth edition of Night of Worship was one for the books; we celebrated The Excellency of our God will Hillsong London, Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, Eden, Bukola Bekes, Beejay Sax, Segunfunmi, Moz, and other anointed ministers.
We are excited about the new beginning that the eleventh edition represents: it is the beginning of another decade, and a continuation of God's divine move in these end times.
The twelfth edition of the Night of Worship themed "In the Multitude of His Mercies," was a powerful gathering at the Eko Convention Centre. Worship was led by a stellar lineup including Hillsong London, Ada Ehi, Judikay, Beejay Sax, Akinwale, and more. It was a night filled with deep worship and a palpable sense of God’s presence, as attendees experienced His overwhelming mercy through music and praise.
The thirteenth edition of the Night of Worship, themed "Rivers of Living Water," was a night of deep spiritual refreshing. Held at the Eko Convention Centre, the event featured powerful ministrations by Judikay, Eben, NOSA, Onos Ariyo, Mairo Ese, and more. Through vibrant worship and heartfelt praise, attendees were drawn into a profound encounter with the living God, flowing in His presence like never before.
